Global IME Bank Limited Sign MoU With Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology For Free Cataract Surgeries
Global IME Bank Limited and the Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to conduct free cataract screening and surgeries for economically disadvantaged, senior citizens, and underprivileged communities.
The agreement was signed at the bank’s corporate office in Kamaladi in the presence of Chairman Chandra Prasad Dhakal and Tilganga’s founder and Executive Director of the Foundation dr. Sanduk Ruit. The MoU was formally signed by CEO Surendra Raj Regmi and Tilganga CEO Rita Gurung.

Under the partnership, free eye screening and cataract surgeries will be carried out in seven locations across all provinces with the bank’s financial support. Additionally, eye check-ups will be conducted for students from low-income backgrounds, with free distribution of spectacles where necessary.
Speaking at the event, the bank highlighted its continued commitment to social responsibility by investing a portion of its profits in community programs nationwide. Tilganga also expressed confidence in maintaining transparency and delivering quality eye care through this collaboration.
