Global IME Bank Launches ‘Goal-Based Saving’ Scheme for Mobile Banking Users

Global IME Bank Limited has introduced the ‘Goal-Based Saving’ scheme, allowing customers to set financial targets between NPR 50,000 and NPR 500,000 with flexible tenures of 6 months to 2 years. Through the Global Smart Plus mobile banking app, users can plan monthly savings, track statements, fund positions, and even break their goals without visiting a branch.
The scheme includes a round-up saving feature, where a portion of each merchant QR payment is automatically saved toward the goal, using options such as nearest two, flat amount, or percentage. Customers can choose automatic deduction from their primary account or manually deposit monthly contributions. The bank offers competitive interest rates on savings under this scheme.
Global IME Bank, recognized as Nepal’s best bank by Global Finance and Euromoney, operates in all 77 districts with 352 branches, 384 ATMs, 155 branchless banking units, and multiple international remittance channels, providing comprehensive banking services nationwide and abroad.
