Global IME Bank inks MoU with Heifer International for agro development of Baglung based farmers; two institutions to collaborate for necessary credit and training facility for rural farmers

Global IME Bank has inked an agreement with Heifer International Nepal to increase the access of small farmers to bank financing services.

The MoU for the collaboration was signed between the CEO of the bank Mr. Ratna Raj Bajracharya and the National Director of Heifer International Nepal Mr. Subhanarayan Mahato amid a program.

Following the understanding, farmers and their groups in Baglung district will receive a credit facility from the bank for their agro-business whereas Heifer International will provide training programs to enhance the technical know-how of the farmers, as per the media statement.

The bank currently provides its services to its customers from its 264 branches in 73 districts, 239 ATM terminals, 47 extension, and revenue collection counters, 241 branchless banking units, and 3 foreign relations offices under its network.

Heifer International has been serving more than 2.54 lakh farmers in 41 districts of the nation in order to empower them via modern agriculture, as per the media statement.
