GATE College Signs Historic Internship Agreement with Tono City, Japan for Hospitality Students

Kathmandu's GATE College has signed a landmark tripartite agreement with Tono City and Tono Co., Ltd. in Japan to provide Nepali students with internship opportunities in the tourism and hospitality sectors. The partnership aims to offer students hands-on experience in Japan, promote cultural exchange, and support the development of human resources for both nations.

Tono City, facing labor shortages and an aging population, views this as a step toward multicultural coexistence and internationalization. Leaders from both sides expressed hopes that the initiative will strengthen Nepal–Japan ties and contribute to sustainable tourism and workforce development.
