Garuda Aerospace Deploys Drones for Flood Relief in Nepal

IPO-bound drone manufacturer Garuda Aerospace has deployed drones in Nepal’s Rasuwa district to support flood relief and emergency response operations after severe flooding damaged infrastructure and disrupted road and communication networks.

The company is deploying its Sanjeevani logistics drones, capable of carrying up to 25 kg, to deliver food, medicines and water to communities cut off by the floods. Garuda is also providing battery systems, communication and ground-support equipment, along with certified drone pilots to support relief teams operating in the mountainous terrain.

Garuda has previously deployed drones for flood relief, disaster response and rescue operations across India, including during the Chamoli glacier burst, floods in Chennai, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh, and the SLBC tunnel collapse in Telangana. The Nepal deployment marks another use of drones to support emergency response in hard-to-reach areas.
