Garima Bikas Bank Distributed 16% Bonus Shares to Demat Accounts

Garima Bikas Bank Limited (GBBL) has distributed 16% bonus shares directly to the DEMAT accounts of its shareholders. The company has urged its shareholders to dematerialize its shares.

The 15th AGM of the company held on 18th Chaitra, 2078 endorsed a 16% dividend for the fiscal year 2077/78. The 270th meeting of the board of directors held on Poush 22, 2078 decided to distribute the entirety of the dividend in bonus shares. The paid-up capital of the company during dividend distribution was Rs. 3.94 arba Thus, the bonus shares were worth slightly over Rs. 63.17 crores. The same bonus shares are now deposited to Demat accounts. The shareholder registration book (book closure) was from Chaitra 04.

According to the notice, shareholders who bought the shares after the commencement of joint operation (28th Kartik, 2078) will have to pay the tax amount on the dividend proposed and only after submitting the tax amount to be paid, the bonus shares will be distributed to the particular DEMAT account .

Shareholders will have to dematerialize their shares at NIBL Ace Capital Limited, Lazimpat, Kathmandu.
