Garima Bikas Bank Announces Rs. 1.01 Crore Support for Bhotekoshi Flood Victims

Garima Bikas Bank has announced a total support of Rs. 1.11 crores for rescue, relief and rehabilitation of people affected by the devastating Bhotekoshi River floods.

For the rescue, relief and rehabilitation of people affected by the post-flood situation in various districts, the bank has deposited a total of Rs. 5,111,111 into the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief and Rescue Fund. The amount includes Rs. 1,620,550 contributed by employees, equivalent to one day’s salary and allowances, and Rs. 3,490,561 contributed by the bank.

The bank has also pledged an additional Rs. 50 Lakhs through its CSR fund for direct support in education, healthcare and rehabilitation programs in affected areas, in coordination with local authorities.

Garima Bikas Bank said the support will focus on the immediate and longer-term needs of communities affected by the floods.
