The 9th International Women’s Trade Expo 2026, organized by the Federation of Woman Entrepreneurs’ Associations of Nepal (FWEAN), is scheduled to take place from April 3 to April 5, 2026, at Heritage Garden, Sanepa, Lalitpur. With a history of 23 years in supporting women’s entrepreneurship, FWEAN is hosting this event to provide a powerful platform for women from all 77 districts of Nepal to showcase their products, build business networks, and gain international market exposure. The expo aims to empower these entrepreneurs by bridging the gap between local producers and national or international buyers, fostering both social and economic growth.

The event will feature approximately 140 stalls representing all seven provinces of Nepal. Visitors can explore a diverse range of indigenous goods, including Allo and Dhaka products from Koshi and Lumbini, Mithila art from Madhesh, organic food and dairy from Bagmati, and handicrafts and medicinal herbs from Karnali and Sudurpashchim. Additionally, international entrepreneurs from India, China, South Korea, and Bhutan will participate, displaying products such as cosmetics, eco-friendly drinks, and recycled goods. Specialized stalls will also be provided free of charge or at subsidized rates for entrepreneurs with disabilities and emerging start ups to ensure inclusive participation.

Beyond the marketplace, the expo includes several high impact activities designed to enhance professional skills. A major highlight is the "Fiber to Fashion Echoes of Earth" ramp walk, which will showcase clothing made from natural fibers like Allo, cotton, and pashmina. Attendees can also participate in panel discussions on unlocking Nepal’s natural fiber economy, B2B networking sessions, and workshops on digital literacy and financial management. The federation also plans to launch the 14th edition of its book, "Enterprising Women Nepal," featuring inspirational success stories of female entrepreneurs. With an expected turnout of over 50,000 visitors, the expo anticipates business transactions totalling around 20 million NPR, marking a significant milestone for women led businesses in Nepal.
