FWEAN seeks special facility for women entrepreneurs
KATHMANDU, Nov 22 :
Women entrepreneurs have called on the government to provide special facilities to women entrepreneurs.
At an interaction organized by the Federation of Women Entrepreneurs´ Associations of Nepal (FWEAN) in Kathmandu on Thursday, they should special facilities to women entrepreneurs and cottage and small industrialists in the upcoming Industrial Enterprise Act.
According to a press statement issued by FWEAN officials and women entrepreneurs discussed the issue in the interaction which was participation of different lawmakers.
Established in 2003, FWEAN is the apex body of women entrepreneurs in the country. It is a non-profit based apolitical organization that promotes women entrepreneurs and advocates for the protection of their rights in key decision making forums at national and international levels.
The federation seeks to redefine the perspective of women entrepreneurship from contribution to economic growth and poverty alleviation toward participation of women at all levels in the socio-economic sectors.
