FURTHER DOWNFALL IN NEPSE AS TRADERS BOOK THEIR PROFIT

Observing further profit booking from the traders, the market today also tumbled to settle in the red terrain. The stock index suffered a loss of 8.94 points by the end of the day to close at 770.85 levels.
With the market now on consolidating phase, the traders are now capitalizing their profit obtain from past week’s rally which has attributed to lots of selling pressure in the market. As in this phase, the market tends to make a sideways movement, the traders are now opting to liquidate in current high position and make buying strategy when the NEPSE witness further downhill.
Like of the prior day, the market today also witnessed lots of profit booking in Banking and Financial Institutions scrips as Banking alongside Development and Finance dropped by 12.22, 1.04 and 1.06 points respectively.
Similarly, Hydro along with Hotels sector made double digit plunge of 41.35 and 22.97 points respectively.
While, Insurance suffered loss of only 1 point followed by Others by a decline of 1.17 points.
Altogether there were trade of 98 scrips, among which 28 scrips gained, 7 scrips remained intact and 63 scrips suffered loss.
The best performer among the traded scrips were Apex Development Bank Limited (APEX), closed at Rs 176, and Sagarmatha Merchant Banking And Finance Limited (SMBF), closed at 165, with a gain of 10 percent i.e. Rs 16 and Rs 15 respectively. Whereas, Himalayan Gen. Insu. Co. Ltd. (HGI), closed at Rs 567, was the worst performer with loss of Rs 63 or 10 percent.
The scrips with the highest turnover in today’s trade was National Life Insu. Co. Ltd. (NLICL), closed at Rs 1611, with trading of 21,221 units worth Rs 34,759,086 via only 40 transactions.
The Broker with the highest transaction of NLICL was Broker no 42 (Sani Securities Co. Ltd.) with 41.16% standalone dealing of the NLICL, tallying 17,500units worth Rs 28,613,060 via 26 selling transactions.
The total market turnover today tallied at Rs 344,179,381, totaling 933,897 units of share which were traded through 2,449 transactions. The market capitalization at the end of the day stood at Rs 783,334.23 Millions.
