Fresh dialogues push Nepse up

With the news of major three political parties going for new consensus to resolve the current political deadlock, helped to surge the Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) by 8.61 points. After the dissolve of Constituent Assembly, the relationship between the parties had gone sour but with the consensus to end blames game and start fresh dialogues from today to resolve the current turmoil in the country helped to create a positive signal for the near future in the stock market as the benchmark index climbed to 21 trading day highest of 405.78 level.
The news of talks between parties created us an impact in today’s market that Nepal Bangladesh Bank ltd. (NBBL) gained Rs 12 to close at Rs 137 despite Nepal Rastra Bank seeking to take action against its promoters group. But the companies like Unique Finance Limited and United Finance Ltd which has proposed cash dividend from this year profit was intact at Rs 89 and Rs127. It shows people are not very much interest in these scrips because of their price movement.
On the other hand, Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited (NTC) climbed up by Rs 35 to close at Rs 594. The company has posted EPS of 91.39 because of which the investors are expecting high return from this company. And also through the margin lending, the investors are investing in this scrip as the investors finds it secure since its main stakeholder is Government. Today, the total share traded and turnover of NTC stood at 31,065 units worth Rs 18,211,105. The Broker No 6 (Agrawal Securities Pvt. Limited) was the most active broker with 62.17% stand alone dealing of NTC, amounting Rs 11,321,135 of 19,285 units via 22 transactions in which 7 was matching transaction of 17,000 units worth Rs 9,980,000.
The Top gainer for today was Sagarmatha Insurance Co. Ltd with Rs 45 or 9.78%, the stock closed to Rs 505. Whereas, Hama Merchant and Finance ltd.(Hama), closed at Rs 121, was the Top Loser with Rs 12 or 9.02%.In case of highest transaction, Chilime Hydro Power Co. Ltd( CHCL), closed at Rs 1,057, had the highest transaction of 94 times.
Sectoral wise, Trading and Development sector were only the decliners with 1.77% and 0.04% points respectively. The main contributor in Trading sector lost was Bishal Bazar Co Ltd. as the scrip close at Rs 1,883 losing Rs 38. On the other hand, Other sector gained the most as it surge by 41.11 or 6.26% points credit mainly to scrip of NTC. Likewise, other gainers were Manufacture, Banking, Hydro, Insurance, Finance and Hotels with 1.44%, 1.29%, 0.82%, 0.53%, 0.28% and 0.08% respectively. Among the scrips traded in Manufacture sector, Uniliver Nepal Ltd., closed at Rs 7,854, was the main contributor as it gained Rs 204.Sensitive index rose by 2.45 or 2.39% points to rest at 104.66 level while Float index added 0.38 or 1.26% points to close at 30.49 level.
Total scrips traded for the day was 94 with 49 gainers and 30 losers with total turnover of Rs 77,012,180 which is comparatively Rs 31,860,589 or 70.56% higher than prior trading session. Overall 211,252 units of shares were traded via 1,404 transactions with the market capitalization of Rs 383,999.34 Millions.
