Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal Leaves for Official Visit to India

Nepal's Minister for Foreign Affairs, Shishir Khanal, left for New Delhi, India, on Friday morning for an official visit. The trip comes at the invitation of his Indian counterpart, S. Jaishankar.
This marks the first high level foreign visit since the formation of Nepal's new government, which is led by the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP). Minister Khanal is scheduled to participate in high level talks with Indian officials during his time in the capital.
Speaking briefly before his departure from Kathmandu, Khanal noted the significance of the trip for the new administration and stated that the discussions would focus heavily on matters of national priority. He shared his optimism that the meetings would strengthen neighbouring ties and help both countries make progress on shared interests.

Earlier RSP chairman Rabi Lamichhane was in the 5 day visit to India, his visit will concludes today and probably Lamichhane will arrive Nepal today.
