Focus on economic development of nation: economists

KATHMANDU, Jan 24:

Various economists have suggested the newly elected lawmakers to focus on the economic development of the country.

´Political leaders should rise above partisan interest to bring economic progress to the country in the new CA´ they said.

Speaking at an interaction organized by Media International in the capital on Wednesday, the experts underlined the importance of being focused in economic development.

On the occasion, Prof Dr Nava Raj Kandel, former head of department of economics at Tribhuvan University said that the economy of the country is in a vulnerable situation due to failure to accelerate national development.

Likewise, economist duo Dr Chandra Mani Adhikari and Dr Dilli Raj Khanal pointed out the importance of economic development for the prosperity of the nation.
