FNCCI to speak on energy crisis soon
KATHMANDU.DEC 27:
Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) — the umbrella organisation of Neapl — has said that it is developing the common opinion of private sector regarding current energy crisis.
FNCCI will publicise its official opinion and way ahead of current fuel crisis within two weeks, it said, adding that the federation will consult with experts, governments officials, Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) and other stakeholders before developing its opinion and plans.
The federation has formed a task force led by Gyanendra Lal Pradhan to carry out the study on current energy crisis.
It has also asked the government to hike the electricity charge only after assurance of ending load shedding. Similarly, it has urged not to operate diesel plant unless it can ensure its continuity.
Requesting the government to end the dual price structure in diesel, the federation has blamed that the black marketing has flourished due to dual price of diesel and kerosene.
