KATHMANDU:

The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has decided to take initiative for the construction and operation of Butwal Industrial Corridor under the public private partnership (PPP) model.

The 14th meeting of the executive committee FNCCI on Sunday took the decision to this effect. It also decided to form a coordination committee having representations from the Butwal Chamber of Commerce and Industries.

Likewise, the FNCCI is organizing an extensive interaction among entrepreneurs, government officials, presidents of bilateral chambers and district chambers on October 4 to discuss tax, revenue and customs issues.

The meeting also decided to start a campaign to oppose fine and penalty slapped by the government on Chitwan-based Laxmi Narayan Bastralaya on the charge of tax evasion.
