KATHMANDU, JUNE 19:

A delegation of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FNCCI) met the newly appointed Australian Ambassador to Nepal Glenn White and discussed financial cooperation between Nepal and Australia.

They discussed financial and trade relations between Nepal and Australia, bilateral trading promotion and possible sectors for Australian investment in Nepal, according to a statement issued by the FNCCI.

FNCCI Chairman Suraj Vaidya informed the Australian envoy that the FNCCI has identified infrastructure development, services, professional agriculture, hydropower and mines as major five sectors of potential investment for Australia in Nepal. The ambassador was positive to extend support in these sectors, the statement said.

He also asserted that "niche products" should be promoted to increase trade activities between the two countries.
