FNCCI adds five categories to excellence awards

KATHMANDU, JUNE 28:

The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has added five more categories to the National Excellence Award. The umbrella organisation of the domestic private sector has decided to distribute the award on August 18.

FNCCI had established the award in 1999 to promote etrepreneurship in the country.

It has been distributing the National Excellence Award, People Excellence Award and Service Excellence Award since its establishment. The awards were categorised for big, medium, and small and cottage industries in 2010.

According to FNCCI, it has added Best Brand-People’s Choice Award, Business Person of the Year-Editors Choice Award, NRN-Business Person of the Year, Lifetime Achievement Award, and NYEF-Young Achievers Award from this year. Though it has been distributing NYEF-Young Achievers Award for male and female categories, from this year it has decided to add a separate award as young woman achiever.

FNCCI has set July 14 as the deadline for submission of entries. Nimbus is the major sponsor of the award and Productivity and Quality Committee of FNCCI will handle the administrative and management aspects of the award.
