FM welcomes NRN officials at Finance Ministry
KATHMANDU:
Finance Minister Barshaman Pun has said that he is confident that investment of Non-Resident-Nepalese (NRNs) will enter the country.
Pun expressed his views at a programme organized at the Ministry of Finance today to welcome and congratulate newly elected office-bearers of the NRN Association.
He said the newly elected office-bearers of the Association could play a great role to create an environment for investment in Nepal, and added that the government will play role as facilitator towards the problems of NRNs.
On the occasion, Governor of the Nepal Rastra Bank, Dr. Yubaraj Khatiwada said NRNs should invest in different sectors in Nepal.
Similarly, Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office, Lilamani Poudel said NRNs should invest in Nepal for the welfare and interest of Nepal, and requested the NRNs for investment in the education sector of Nepal.
Founding Chairman of the NRN, Dr. Upendra Mahato said there is a need of improvement in LC process to make the investment friendly environment in Nepal.
NRNs are going to invest immediately in hydropower sectors in Nepal, informed newly elected Chairman of the NRN Association, Jiwa Lamichhane.
