FM vows to incorporate MPs suggestions on budget
KATHMANDU:
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Bharat Mohan Adhikari said the budget of the fiscal year 2011/012 will be brought as per the suggestions the parliamentarians furnished during the pre-budget discussion.
Following the completion of the discussion on the Appropriation Bill, Finance Minister Adhikari said to the media on the parliament premises that the political parties\' consent on the economic issues will be manifested through the upcoming budget.
He made commitment that the programmes the Nepali Congress initiated as BP with poor, Ganeshman peace campaign and women awareness will be continued in this budget too.
Similarly, Minister Adhikari claimed that the budget would not do injustice to the Madhesi people as claimed by the Madhes-centred political parties.
As per the demands of the Madhesi parliamentarians, the Janaki temple conservation, poverty alleviation and Chure regional protection programmes will be brought this year too, the Finance Minister assured.
Moreover, he said the three-pillar economic policy was not his policy but the programme the constitution devised. All three pillars will be promoted, he stressed.
