KATHMANDU:
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Bharat Mohan Adhikary was admitted to Thapathali-based Norvic Hospital today after he complained of nausea, insomnia and lack of appetite.

Dr Ramesh Chokhani, who is attending to Adhikary, informed that the 75-year-old minister was found to be suffering from gastritis. Adhikary, an asthmatic, had turned up at the hospital for check-ups on Sunday and Monday as well. However, he does not have any problem of asthma this time.

His health is improving, said Dr Chokhani. “Exhaustion due to his busy schedule in the run-up to the fiscal budget must have weakened him,” noted Dr Chokhani. After Adhikary frequented the hospital for the third time in as many days, the doctors had decided to put him on medical observation. Asked about his stay in hospital, Dr Chokhani informed, “We will take a decision tomorrow morning.”
