The NEPSE index closed at 2,046.29 today after gaining 17.26 points from the last trading day's closing. This is a gain of 0.85%. The index lost 56.88 points last Thursday.
The index opened at 2,037.21 and made an intraday low of 2,030.25. It made an intraday high of 2,083.19 and closed at 2,046.29.
261 scrips traded hands via 62,551 transactions. A total of 10,880,904 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 4.048 Arba in turnover amount. This is higher than the last trading day's turnover of Rs. 2.860 Arba.
Nabil Bank Limited (NABIL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 22.57 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 854.5 per share. The shares of Api Power Company Ltd. (API) traded the most.
Shrijanshil Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SHLB) gained the highest 10% and hit a positive circuit for the day. Whereas, KLBS, DLBS, AIL, and PLI too increased by almost 10% today.
On the other side of things, Siddhartha Equity Fund (SEF) lost the highest 5.57% today.
Only two sector indices closed red, "Finance" lost the highest 0.20% while "Life Insurance" gained the highest 2.99% today.
