First Trading Day After Dashain: NEPSE Closes at 2,656.96 After Gaining 17.59 Points, Intraday Turnover Dwindles

The NEPSE index closed at 2,656.96 today after gaining 17.59 points from last trading day's closing. The index had lost 23.19 points in the last trading day before Dashain.

The index opened at 2,644.41 and created the intraday high at 2,665.42. While it went as low as 2,625.13, it ultimately closed at 2,656.96.

A total of 4,760,295 shares exchanged hands amounting to only Rs. 1.41 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than last trading day's turnover of Rs. 3.639 Arba. 218 scrips traded hands via 21,328 transactions.

Nabil Bank Limited (NABIL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 8.32 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 1,482 per share. The units of Global IME Samunnat Scheme 1 (GIMES1) traded the most.

Chandragiri Hills Limited (CGH) gained the most 6.97%. Meanwhile, Citizens Mutual Fund - 2 (CMF2) lost the most 5.66%.

Only Mutual Fund lost a minimal 0.75% today. Of all other sectors that gained, Hotels And Tourism gained the most 3.51%.
