Finance Minister briefs Big 3 leaders about budget
KATHMANDU:
Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bharat Mohan Adhikary on Monday briefed the top leaders of the three major political parties, including Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal about budget preparations.
After the meeting the Prime Minister’s chief political advisor, Prakash Jwala, told reporters that the Finance Minister informed about budget preparations. The government is planning to unveil the budget for the new fiscal year on July 14.
Nepali Congress leaders, in the meeting, maintained that the party’s issues should be addressed by the new budget.
Jwala said that Chairman of Unified CPN (Maoist) Prime Minister and UML Chairman Khanal, Congress leaders and some minister also dwelt on contemporary political issues.
After the meeting, Congress leader Dr Ram Sharan Mahat said they stressed for giving due space to the issues raised by NC in the new budget.
