Federation Welcomes Land Ordinance Amendment to Boost Housing Sector and Economy
The Nepal Land and Housing Development Federation has expressed gratitude to the government for passing the Land-Related Ordinance, Ninth Amendment-2082, and recommending it for presidential approval. The ordinance is expected to relieve long-standing issues caused by land restrictions, allowing businesses to sell housing and apartments and buyers to obtain land titles.
The federation believes that activating the land and housing sector will boost related industries such as cement, brick, wood, aluminum, and sand, increase employment, and strengthen the overall economy. They also urge local governments to ensure timely land classification to implement the ordinance effectively.
