Fake app alert! Mero Share App available in Google play store is bogus

The Mero Share app currently available in Google play store is not the authentic app prepared and circulated by the CDS and Clearing Limited.

As seen in the play store, the app is developed by developers named “Little d Business”. If the app were developed by CDS and Clearing itself then CDSC’s name would have been mentioned.

So it is widely advised to not install the app and those of you who have please delete all the information already uploaded and uninstall it.

Upon talk with Mr. Dev Prakash Gupta, CEO of CDS and Clearing Ltd., he confirmed that no harm as of now has been caused to any investors. They are currently looking into the problem and have recognized that the app has been involved in Data Forwarding only i.e. the app simply redirects to the actual Mero Share software of CDS and Clearing.

Mr Gupta added, “We are looking into the problem and so far we haven’t identified the actual person involved. Although no data theft has occurred yet we encourage the investors to use Mero Share via CDS and Clearing’s website (https://meroshare.cdsc.com.np/).”
