Excel Development Bank's Green Initiative: 50 Trees Planted in Haldibari Village

Excel Development Bank Limited completed a tree plantation program in Bhelagadi Simsar, Haldibari Village, Jhapa District, in line with their slogan 'Our Land Our Future'. The event saw participation from various stakeholders, including officials from the Forest Consumer Committee, the bank's Deputy CEO, Assistant General Manager, employees, and members of the local community.

Gajendra Dhakal, a bank employee, emphasized the importance of such programs in combating environmental degradation caused by climate change. He thanked the Bhelagadhi Community Forest User Group and locals for their support and pledged to continue such initiatives as part of the bank's social responsibility.

Punya Lamsal, Chairman of the Forest Consumer Group, and Khagendra Rajwanshi, Secretary of Excel Development Bank Ltd., expressed gratitude and hoped for the continuation of such efforts, expecting the plantation to enhance the beauty of Bhelagadhi Simsar Park, boost tourism, and raise environmental awareness. As part of the program, 50 Sirisha plants were planted in the wetland area.
