Everest Bank Partners with Fonepay to Launch Nepal’s First Virtual Credit Card

Fonepay, Nepal’s leading digital payment network, has teamed up with Everest Bank to launch the Everest Fonepay Credit Card, a fully virtual credit card now available via the bank’s mobile app, EBL Touch 24. This card enables users to conveniently scan and pay at Fonepay QR merchants nationwide, offering traditional credit benefits, such as interest-free periods, with the ease of digital transactions.

Following a successful partnership with Citizens Bank, Everest Bank has become one of the pioneering institutions in Nepal to offer this modern credit experience. Fonepay CEO Diwas Kumar emphasized the goal of making credit more accessible and inclusive for all Nepalis. With more banks set to join soon, this initiative marks a significant move toward a digitally empowered and cashless Nepal.
