Everest Bank Limited has introduced a real-time cross-border remittance service between Nepal and India through its mobile banking app, following the Nepal–India intercountry fund transfer agreement. The new digital system enables users in both countries to send and receive money instantly in a fast, secure, and simplified manner. Under the service structure, Indian citizens working in Nepal can send up to INR 15,000 daily and INR 100,000 monthly to India.

Meanwhile, users in India, including Nepali and Indian citizens, can remit up to INR 200,000 daily to Nepal without a monthly limit. Transactions can be completed using a mobile number, Virtual Payment Address (VPA), or India’s UPI system. The initiative strengthens digital financial connectivity between Nepal and India and enhances convenience, speed, and accessibility in cross-border money transfers.
