Everest Bank Limited insures deposits

KATHMANDU,DEC 13: 

Everest Bank Ltd (EBL) has signed an agreement with Deposit and Credit Guarantee Corporation (DCGC) to insure individual deposits up to Rs 200,000. CEO of EBL PK Mohapatra and GM of DCGC Bhola Pd Sharma Adhikari signed the agreement on behalf of their respective institutions on Monday. Under this agreement, the individual depositors having savings and fixed deposits will get insurance coverage up to Rs 200,000 or actual deposit whichever is lower. Currently, EBL is rendering professionalised and efficient banking services through its wide domestic network of 44 branches, 51 ATMs, 21 extension counters and many correspondents across the globe.
