Esewa Money Transfer Waives Remittance Fees to Support Rasuwa Flood Victims

Esewa Money Transfer has fully waived service fees for remittances sent to Nepal from several countries following the devastating floods and landslides that affected the Bhote Koshi and Trishuli river corridors in Rasuwa on Bhadra 10.

The initiative aims to enable Nepalis living abroad to send 100% of their intended funds safely and quickly to families and relatives in Nepal without any additional charges during the disaster.

The fee-free service is being provided in partnership with major international digital remittance partners, including Smith Transfer App in Romania, Panda Remit in Australia, the US, Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore, Merchantrade in Malaysia, Remitly across Europe, Australia, the US and UK, Fonemoney in South Korea, and Orbit Remit in New Zealand.

In addition, individuals and organizations abroad can send donations directly to the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund through Esewa Money Transfer without service charges.

According to Ajesh Koirala, Chief Executive Officer of Esewa Money Transfer, the initiative is intended to ensure that the full amount sent by Nepalis abroad reaches affected families and relief efforts without deductions or delays. The company said it is coordinating with international partners to facilitate timely financial assistance during the crisis.
