Esewa begins online tax payment system for Inland Revenue Office; individual and institutional taxpayers can now make convenient tax payment via Esewa wallet and Zone Points

Esewa has started a digital tax payment service targeting the different taxpayers of the inland revenue office.

Under the new arrangement, the taxpayer will first need to log in to the inland revenue office’s web portal and select the amount and type of the tax, generate the payment code and then visit the website of Esewa to complete the tax payment procedure, as per the media statement.

The service is available only for the web version of Esewa now and will soon be expanded to the app. Version as well, as per the media statement.

Individuals and organizations having their Esewa accounts can directly make the tax payment from their e-wallet without visiting and queuing up at the taxpayer’s office whereas those without the Esewa account can do so by visiting the nearest Esewa Zone Points, as per the media statement.
