eSewa and Cogent Health roll out online appointment services at different Hospitals in Nepal

eSewa and Cogent Health have rolled out online appointment services at different hospitals in Nepal. Everest Hospital Pvt. Ltd New Baneshwor Kathmandu, Ishan Children and Women's HospitalBasundhara, Mediplus Hospital and Trauma Center Pokhara, and Rapti Life Care HospitalTulsipur, are the hospitals to join online appointment platform. These hospitals had earlier joined Cogent Health’s e-Appointment platform integrated with eSewa, Nepal’s first and leading online payment gateway.

Patients of these hospitals as well as the general public will now be able to book appointments for OPD consultations from within the eSewa mobile wallet app and also make instant payments digitally. Patients will no longer have to be physically present at the hospital and wait in the queue for booking appointments and making the payments of consultation. The service is also expected to help reduce the associated risks posed by the current COVID-19 pandemic due to overcrowding at hospitals and healthcare institutions. With the introduction of the e-Appointment platform by Cogent Health and eSewa, the number of hospitals adopting online appointment services is increasing day by day.
