eSewa has added Secured Transfer service for the first time in Nepal following which customers can now make secured payment to the strangers who are supposed to deliver goods/services to them.

The new feature is expected to check and control the frauds that are reportedly taking place where people have failed to deliver their products/services even after the payment gets disbursed. With this new feature, the sellers are now required to hit the request for payment button for their payment while the buyers can approve the payment only after receiving the goods, as per the media statement.

This feature will be available for payments above Rs 1000 where the customers are required to pay Rs 5 per transaction and Rs 10 for payment above Rs 5 thousand. eSewa has asked its users to use this new option while disbursing money to unknown parties, as per the media statement.

eSewa is the largest fin-tech platform of Nepal where the 45 lakh plus customers are directly using the eSewa service by installing the app while 1.60 crore plus Nepalese population is using its services via 1.25 lakh plus strong eSewa agent network, as per the media statement.
