Entrepreneurs’ summit on Sept 20

KATHMANDU, SEP 12 - The second edition of the Young Entrepreneurs’ Summit Women has been scheduled to begin from September 20 at the Hotel Yak & Yeti, Kathmandu. A event is being organised by the Nepalese Young Entrepreneurs’ Forum (NYEF) and is aimed at promoting entrepreneurship among Nepali women.
Speaking at a programme on Thursday, NYEF President Niranjan Shrestha said that they had targeted disseminating information on the kind of impact women entrepreneurship could create in changing society through the summit. “It will also teach aspiring women to become entrepreneurs by managing the challenges that they may face in their daily lives,” he said.
The summit’s theme is Exploring Potential, and it is expected to provide a platform to help bring out the potential in women. Besides, it will also facilitate mission entrepreneurship and speed networking among women entrepreneurs, said the organiser.
Mili Shrestha, coordinator of the summit, said the meeting would help motivate aspiring women unsure about how to start a business.
“Similarly, it will help develop networking among those already in business,” said Shrestha, adding that it would also help students who aim to enter business in the future.
The NYEF has expected 200 women to participate in the second summit.
