Entrepreneurs concerned over new payment system

Taxpayers that have registered their business in VAT have to pay the monthly details through internet to Inland Revenue Office, Birgunj.
The entrepreneurs have to submit the handwritten copies of transaction details within the 25th of each month earlier to this.
However, the office has been exerting pressure to send the business details through internet, said the entrepreneurs. However, the entrepreneurs have complained the new provision saying that it has hampered them in their business.
Similarly, Narayani Zonal Office of Transport Management Office, Birgunj, collected revenue Rs 816 million from transport tax and non-tax revenue.
This amount is more by 31.41 per cent compared with the last fiscal year.
