Empowering Marginalized Women: Art of Living Nepal Concludes Transformative ‘Happiness Program’
The 'Art of Living Nepal' recently conducted a transformative 'Happiness Program' in Goldhunga, Kathmandu, empowering 22 women from marginalized communities, primarily single mothers working in the handicraft sector.
Held from September 22-25, 2024, the program focused on stress management and overall well-being, offering participants tools such as yoga, rhythmic breathing techniques, and the 'Sudarshan Kriya.'
These techniques help individuals manage emotions and cultivate a sense of calm. Participants expressed gratitude for the practical insights gained about the connection between breath, emotion, and mental state.
Senior trainers Ms. Neeva M. Pradhan, Mr. Achiut Raj Gautam, and assistant Mr. Shailendra Hamal led the initiative, which was supported by Ms. Emma Seppala from Yale University. This complimentary training, approved by AOL Chairman Mr. S.K. Singh and the AOL APEX Board, aims to foster community cohesion and well-being.
