Nepal Chamber of Commerce has urged Minister Damodar Bhandari to establish export houses in all seven provinces to boost local product promotion.

During a meeting at Singha Durbar, Chamber President Rajendra Malla emphasized the immediate implementation of this concept. The Chamber stressed the need for integrated promotion, marketing, and quality measurement of local products to facilitate unified export through these houses.

They suggested using remittance funds for productive sectors rather than consumption, advocating for an investment-friendly environment. They called on Parliament to swiftly pass pending economic bills and address regulations hindering foreign investment ahead of an international investment conference.

Reforms to outdated provisions of the Black Market Act 2032 were also urged. The Chamber highlighted the importance of enacting laws to promote the export of local resources like minerals, gemstones, herbs, and forest products. Furthermore, they advocated for a unified, permanent market monitoring mechanism.

Chamber President Rajendra Malla emphasized the need for fair treatment of businessmen during market monitoring, urging industrialists to engage in dialogue before resorting to legal action.
