Empowering Communities: Microfinance Training by Sabaiko Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha
Sabaiko Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SABSL), based in Tanahu District, Bandipur-1 Dumre, held a training session for 30 members of its Arunkhola branch at Madhyabindu Metropolitan City-10, Nawalparasi district, on Jestha 3, 2081. The training focused on making phenyle, handwash, and toilet cleaners.
Chief Executive Officer Keshab Kumar Paudel highlighted the organization's continuous provision of microfinance services over the past seven years, which have helped many households economically develop through loans. Trainers Bal Krishna Sapkota, Pawan Kumar Shrestha, Srijan Paudel, and Juddha Bahadur Budhathoki led the session.
The training covered the materials, availability, and pricing for making the products. Participants also learned about the importance of savings, financial literacy, and various services provided by the organization. Ward President Rana Bahadur Thapa inaugurated the event, while Ratna Prasad Adhikari welcomed the attendees. Deputy General Manager Pawan Kumar Shrestha emphasized the importance of proper loan utilization and commercial business operations.
Sabaiko Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited operates 97 offices across 7 states and 43 districts, serving over 75,320 households and mobilizing significant savings and investments. The organization prioritizes rural areas, providing collateral-free loans and conducting skill development and financial literacy training. At the training's conclusion, participants received certificates and expressed their commitment to applying the skills learned. The session was organized by Srijan Paudel.
