Department of Revenue Investigation has started to look into the cases related to Indian Currency (IC) misappropriation systematically.

“The department has been computarising data,” a source at the department said, adding that it will start to gather proof against the charged ones, once computer-entry will be completed.

“It will summon all the suspected firms and banks to give chances to defend themselves,” he said, adding that after their opinion, the department will act further.

It will also seek the opinion from Office of the District Attorney after finishing the hearing from suspected, he informed, adding that the department will file case in the court claiming for fine and revenue after receiving opinion of Office of the District Attorney.

“The department will file case against all eight firms involved in Indian Currency misappropriation by mid-October and start additional investigation,” the department said.
