Dr. Shesh Ghale Leads NRNA Annual Meeting: Advocating For Nepal's Continual Support
The annual general meeting of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) took place in Kathmandu with the theme "Continuity of Ancestral Citizenship."
Dr. Shesh Ghale inaugurated the assembly, attended by representatives from 42 countries. Ghale emphasized the need for continued support to Nepal and addressed ongoing citizenship struggles despite government provisions.
Binod Kunwar, the International Coordination Council (ICC) Chairman, discussed organizational regulations and the decision to postpone the convention in favor of the annual general meeting.
Issues regarding citizenship authority and the importance of an investment-friendly environment were highlighted.
Significant agreements were made, including the establishment of a monorail system in Tarakeshwar Municipality and agreements on earthquake reconstruction. Additionally, a production agreement with Korean cosmetics (NK) for Nepal was reached.
NRN representatives and the ICC were recognized for their contributions to earthquake relief, and communication efforts were acknowledged, with Dipendra Rawal and Rajkumar Sigdel being honored.
