Down the Slippery Slope Again: NEPSE Loses 23.41 Points , Turnover Contracts to Rs. 1.99 Arba

The NEPSE index closed at 2,428.66 today after losing 23.41 points from last trading day's closing. This is a loss of 0.95%. The index had lost 46.46 points yesterday.

The index opened at 2,451.81 today and made the intraday low at 2,417.08. While it went as high as 2,457.61, it ultimately closed at 2,428.75.

226 scrips traded hands via 38,262 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 4,379,042 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 1.99 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 2.671 Arba.

Himalayan Distillery Limited (HDL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 9.41 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 3,610 per share. The shares of Soaltee Hotel Limited (SHL) traded the most.

NESDO Sambridha Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (NESDO) gained 10% and hit the positive circuit breaker for the day.

On the other side of things, Emerging Nepal Limited (ENL) lost the highest 10% today as well. This is the stock's second red day in NEPSE after losing 10% yesterday too.

Three of thirteen sector indices closed green while all others closed lower today. The "Hotels And Tourism Index" gained 2.06%. "Trading" lost the highest 2.76%.
