PARASI, NOV 12:

The industrialists on Friday have said that the development of the country will not take place sans investment by the Nepali nationals.

Inaugurating the 30th Annual Conference, Senior Vice president of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FNCCI), Bhaskar Raj Rajkarnikar said today that the development will not materialise without the investment by the Nepali nationals themselves, adding “they will only invest in the country once the peace and security are in place.”

He went on to say that foreign nationals alone will not strengthen the national economy. Expressing optimism Rajkarnikar stated that the government’s declaration of the Year 2012 as an investment year, will encourage domestic investment, thereby multiplying the national economy.

Krishna Kumar Shrestha, vice president of the Industry Union Butwal chapter touched upon the BIPPA signed during Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai’s visit to India, saying that the state should provide land for the foreign nationals for the construction of the company buildings.
