Diwakar Bhattarai Appointed as Director of NIC Asia Laghubitta

NIC Asia Laghubitta Financial Institution has appointed Diwakar Bhattarai as a new Director on its Board, replacing Suman Thapaliya. Mr. Bhattarai, sworn in by Chairman Prakash Raj Sharma, brings 16 years of banking experience, including his current role as Chief of Agriculture and Corporate Loans at NIC ASIA Bank Limited.

His expertise in credit management, risk assessment, and corporate finance, particularly in agriculture, is expected to strengthen the institution’s strategic oversight and operational execution. The appointment aims to enhance NIC Asia Laghubitta’s capacity for financial inclusion, rural development, and microfinance sector leadership, ensuring efficient governance, regulatory compliance, and sustainable growth.
