Dhanusha District Court Approves Arrest Warrant for Kantipur Media Group Chairman Kailash Sirohiya Over Dual Citizenship Allegations

The Dhanusha District Court has authorized the district police to issue an arrest warrant for Kailash Sirohiya, Chairman of Kantipur Media Group, in connection with allegations of dual citizenship.
Sources indicate that Judge Chitra Bahadur Gurung's bench granted the request for the arrest warrant on Tuesday. The warrant follows accusations that Sirohiya submitted fraudulent citizenship documents to multiple institutions.
The controversy centers on the discovery of two citizenship certificates bearing the same number but containing different details, which has raised suspicions of identity fraud. A formal complaint filed at the Dhanusha District Police Office alleges that Sirohiya acquired citizenship through deceptive means.
