Despite Rs 17.55 crore provision Mero Microfinance Laghubitta net profit rises by massive 145.51% in Q4

Mero Microfinance Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha (MERO) has published its fourth quarterly report of FY 2077/2078 with an increase in Net Profit by a massive 145.51%. The company's net profit increased to Rs. 44.72 crores as compared to Rs. 18.21 crores in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
The borrowing of the company has increased to Rs. 10.05 Arba by 154.94% while deposits have increased by 52.35% to Rs. 2.41 Arba in the current quarter. Similarly, the company has floated loans of Rs. 13.64 Arba till the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2077/2078.
The net interest income of the company has increased by 72.46% compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year and stood at Rs. 90.10 crores in Q4, 2077/2078.
Mero Microfinance's paid-up capital stood at Rs. 1.00 Arba with a reserve and surplus of Rs. 463.12 crores till the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2077/2078.
Its earnings per share (EPS) stood at Rs. 44.72 and net worth per share stood at Rs. 163.12. The company’s Non-performing loan stood at 3.78%. The company traded at a PE multiple of 34.57 times till this quarter-end.
