Deposit of Commercial Banks Increased to Rs. 61.64 Arba at the End of Ashwin; Which Bank Had the Highest Deposit?

According to the data of Nepal Bankers Association, bank deposits increased by Rs. 61.64 Arba in the month of Ashwin.

In Ashwin, the deposit collection of 5 banks decreased while the deposit collection of all the remaining banks have increased. Among the banks, Nabil Bank deposits have increased the most by Rs. 7.97 Arba. Nepal Investment Bank by Rs. 7.20 Arba and Global IME Bank by Rs. 6.28 Arba respectively.

On the other hand, the deposit of Sunrise Bank has decreased the most by Rs. 2.86 Arba, while the deposit collection of NMB Bank, NIC Asia Bank, Kumari Bank and Everest Bank has decreased marginally.

Banks' lending figure increased by Rs. 30.04 Arba in Ashwin. Among the banks, the lending of 6 banks have decreased while the rest have increased. Nepal Investment Bank is at the forefront in increasing lending the most with Rs. 3.79 Arba.

Similarly, Nabil Bank has increased its lending figure by Rs. 2.96 Arba, while Himalayan Bank and Mega Bank by Rs. 2.84 Arba and Rs. 2.79 Arba respectively.

On the other hand, lending figure of Laxmi Bank decreased by Rs. 91 crores, while that of Global IME and Sunrise Bank decreased by Rs. 44 crores respectively. Similarly, the lending of Rastriya Banijya Bank, Nepal Bank and Standard Chartered Bank have also decreased.
