Damodar Bhandari Appointed Acting CEO of Nepal Reinsurance Company

Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited has appointed Damodar Bhandari as its acting Chief Executive Officer. The decision was made at a board of directors meeting held today, with Bhandari taking on the responsibility with immediate effect.

Bhandari, who has been serving as the Assistant Chief Executive Officer of Nepal Reinsurance Company, steps into the top role on an acting basis following the development.

Bhandari previously served as Assistant Chief Executive Officer at Nepal Reinsurance Company, and prior to that held a position at the Nepal Insurance Authority, where he worked in areas including insurance, life insurance product pricing, risk-based pricing, and risk management. He had also served as acting CEO of Nepal Reinsurance Company in late 2023, when the board appointed him to the role following the end of former CEO Shankar Kumar Rayamajhi's tenure on December 27 of that year.
