Daily Summary: NEPSE Loses 21.29 Points and Closes at 2,548.96; Has Market Participation Revived in NIFRA Stock?

The NEPSE index lost 21.29 points today and closed at 2,548.96. The index opened at 2,584.79 and briefly made an intraday high at 2,594.25. The index lost in the overall market movement today, going as low as 2,544.15. With this, total volatility of 50.1 points was witnessed in the trading session.

12,548,146 shares traded hands via 74,658 transactions. The trading of 208 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 6.5 Arba.

While the float index lost 1.5 points and closed at 174.99, the Sensitive index is at 450.31 after losing 5.64 points.

Nepal Infrastructure Bank Limited (NIFRA) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 89.5 crores. Its shares also traded the most.

The three highest gainers have technically hit the 10% positive circuit today.

Meanwhile, Nepal Bangladesh Bank Limited (NBB) lost the most 6.14%.

Only three sectors gained today while ten others closed red. While "Hotels and Tourism" gained the most 4.45%, Hydropower lost the most 1.89%.
