Daily Summary: NEPSE Gains 33.03 Points and Closes at 2,931.34, Three IPO Rookies Hit Positive Circuit Breaker

The NEPSE index closed at 2,931.34 today after gaining 33.03 points from yesterday's closing. This is a gain of 1.14% on the index. The index had lost 38.35 points yesterday.

The index opened at 2,901.51 and made the intraday low at 2,884.91. It then closed at the intraday high of 2,931.34.

229 scrips traded hands via 75,582 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 15,989,744 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 5.773 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 6.021 Arba.

IME General Insurance Limited (IGI) had the highest turnover of Rs. 22.2 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 1,217 per share. The units of Sunrise First Mutual Fund (SFMF) traded the most.

Three companies have technically gained 10% and hit the positive circuit breaker. All three of them are IPO rookies. Meanwhile, 12% ICFC Finance Limited Debenture 2083 (ICFCD83) lost the highest 4.39%, hence closing at Rs. 1,090.

Among the 13 sector indices, "Banking" and "Mutual Fund" are the only sector indices that closed red. The latter lost the higher 0.14%. Among all other sector indices that gained, "Development Bank" gained the highest 3.36%.
