First Day Into the Week, NEPSE Soars 105.55 Points and Closes at Intraday High; Turnover Jumps to Rs. 6.324 Arba

The NEPSE index closed at 2,885.53 today after gaining 105.55 points from last week's closing. This is a significant gain of 3.8% on the index. The index had gained a minimal 3.33 points last Thursday.

The index opened at 2,805.01 and immediately went on an upwards surge. It then closed at the intraday high of 2,885.53 itself.

231 scrips traded hands via 81,706 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 12,155,432 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 6.324 Arba in the turnover amount. This is higher than last Thursday's turnover of Rs. 3.343 Arba.

Api Power Company Limited (API) had the highest turnover of Rs. 26.15 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 546 per share. The shares of Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company Limited (HIDCL) were traded the most.

A total of 5 companies technical gained the highest 10% and hit the positive circuit breaker. Meanwhile, 9.5% Manjushree Finance Limited Debenture 2085 (MFLD85) lost the highest 3.23%, hence closing at Rs. 900.

All sectors closed green today. Development Bank Index gained the highest 6.56%, while the Finance and Investment indices have also gained comparable percentages.
